New Family Health Center Primed to Open in Huntington Station
A new 18,000-square foot Northwell Family Health Center is set to open in Huntington Station, offering a range of health services with a focus on preventive care.
With seven doctors, two nurse practitioners, and a midwife on staff, the center aims to provide accessible healthcare to all, including partnerships with organizations like Island Harvest for food assistance.
Moving from Greenlawn, the center will offer expanded services, including signing patients up for social services and health exchange programs. Suffolk County will also have an office in the building for the Women, Infants and Children nutritional program.
Operating five days a week, the center seeks to serve the diverse community it resides in, providing comprehensive care in a new state-of-the-art facility.

Huntington Station BID's Kelly Smith Honored as ‘Irish American of Distinction’
Kelly Smith, secretary of the Huntington Station BID and director of membership at the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce, has been honored as an "Irish American of Distinction" in the Suffolk County 16th Legislative District by Suffolk County Legislator Rebecca Sanin in recognition of her community contributions.
Sanin praised Smith for embodying the spirit of service and community, citing her efforts to support local businesses and enhance residents' quality of life.
Utilizing her diverse background in non-profit, recreational, and media roles, Smith has played a vital role in fostering collaboration and growth within the business community, earning various accolades, including the "30 under 30" award.
Additionally, as secretary of the Huntington Station Business Improvement District, Smith is involved in revitalizing the local economy.
